Accessibility
What was measured on this site: contrast, keyboard use, motion and JavaScript. The audits that have not been done, and the WCAG claim that is not made.
One Colorado Springs number, water heaters only.
This page states what has been checked on this site and what has not. Where a number appears it was measured on the built pages. Where something has not been tested, it says so.
What the site does
- Semantic HTML. Every page carries one h1, a header, a navigation landmark, a main region and a footer. Headings run in order, lists are lists, and tables carry header cells.
- A skip link. The first control on every page jumps to the main content, and it becomes visible when it takes focus from the keyboard.
- Keyboard operable. Every control is a link or a native disclosure. Nothing needs a mouse, nothing needs a hover, and nothing is dragged. The menu on a narrow screen is the browser's own details element, so it opens without JavaScript.
- Visible focus. A focused link or button takes a two pixel outline in the site's accent colour.
- No motion. There are no scroll reveals, carousels, parallax or animated numbers. The only movement is a 150 millisecond colour change on a link and the plus sign on a disclosure turning as it opens, and the browser's reduced motion setting removes both.
- No JavaScript dependency. The site ships no client-side JavaScript. The phone number is a plain telephone link, so it works with scripting off or blocked.
- Contrast. Text contrast was measured on the built pages at 1440 pixels and 390 pixels wide on 2026-11-05, against 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text. No pair failed at either width.
- Text size. Body text is 17 pixels, and the reading column is capped at about 68 characters.
What has not been done
- No screen-reader audit. The markup is standard, but nobody has listened to these pages with a screen reader, so how they sound is unverified.
- No third-party audit, and no automated accessibility test in the build. The checks above are contrast and overflow measurements on rendered pages, not a conformance run.
- No certification. There is no WCAG conformance claim in any version on this site. This page describes practice, not a standard met.
- No zoom or text-only enlargement test. Reflow at 200 percent zoom has not been measured.
- Small text in the shell. The logo subtitle, the top strip and the footer sit between 10 and 12 pixels. That is small for a reader on a phone, and it has not been corrected.
- No alternative to the phone. The site is deliberately phone-only, with no form, no email and no text number. That leaves a deaf or hard of hearing visitor without a route that suits them. The trade was made for the emergency caller, and it is still a gap.
If something does not work
If a page is hard to read, a control will not take focus, or the layout breaks at your zoom level, call (719) 435-8785 and describe what happened. A report from a visitor is the only audit this site currently has.
This page is a plain-language description of what the site does today. It is not legal advice. The owner should have it reviewed by counsel before launch.
